Calcite powder is a natural calcium carbonate with extremely high whiteness, purity and free flowing in nature. It is widely used in plastics as filler due to its high dispersibility, low oil absorption, high impact resistance, smooth surface finish, easy processing and excellent dimensional stability.
1. Calcite Powder for the Detergent Industries: Calcite powder is widely used as mineral fillers in order to obtain a high humidity retention, to improve the consistency and dryness of the final mass. Furthermore, they do not alter neither the physical nor the chemical properties of soap products, nor the viscosity of the mix. They help to improve the cleaning action of soaps and detergents due to an adequate grade of abrasiveness. It is not retained by the textile fibers since they do not contain silica in a free stage and hence not cause damage to the fabrics. They are also used as secondary pigments.
